Just to finish off today, this is my favourite statue of Robert Burns, who was born 266 years ago today. It was created by F.W. Pomeroy and was erected in Paisley's Fountain Gardens in 1896. I much prefer its naturalistic, dymanic pose to the more classical, and static, stance of the one in Glasgow's George Square. #glasgow #paisley #robertburns #sculpture #naturalism #publicart #burnsnight

I agree! I've only seen the one in George Square, and it's usually wearing a .. . white coating!
