Hello and welcome to Pixey, The last couple of days a lot of new people have joined the community and with that the Fediverse. The Fediverse, or 'federated universe' is a network that consist of thousands upon thousands of different servers that are all connected.

If you have an account on Pixey.org your username handle ends in @pixey.org. So for example, the admin accounts for this server are @stux@pixey.org (https://pixey.org/stux) & @phillycodehound@pixey.org (https://pixey.org/phillycodehound). You can interact and follow people from other servers by using their full handle: @username@domain.tld

This platform runs on the latest Pixelfed software but is not ran by the Pixelfed developer.

Pixey is a 'passion project' and we do not run advertisements so we do not earn any money from the platform, instead we run on donations from the community to pay for the servers, media storage and emails sending.
